Long before Emailing became popular I was writing to friends in the UK and from different parts of the world for the
past fifteen years or more, some are still my friends to this day. When I became a member of Rainbows I found there was
much more to a pen pal magazine than myself and most people realise. Marjorie Edwards has been forming a global
community of friends long before Emailing and is still doing so now, bringing together people who not only use Emailing
but who in spite of it still prefer snail mail, " Why," Because it is personal and heartwarming for a special

also there are many people who do not own a computer so cannot take advantage of the pen pal magazines on the internet,
and I am sure there are many people who may not even be able to afford a computer, therefore I ask all who read this to
pass this information on to them, and why not try it yourself. Rainbows is not just a magazine it is a social group with
lots of group meetings of friends and fantastic opportunties to travel together with them,
they provide lots of ideas and interesting activities.
