My name is Anne Sweet and I am a trained nurse, NLP practitioner, a Meta Medicine health coach and a
Registered Healer - Kent and International Healers. I also work as a garden designer which I find very relaxing as
puts me into a different world away from health matters and helps me to spend time with my own thoughts almost like a
type of meditation.
As a nurse I trained in Glasgow. Did I mention that I was Scottish? I have lived in England for over
thirty years and consider myself English and of course I support England in Cricket, Football and Rugby.
I first got interested in complementary therapies when I worked in an Orthopaedic ward and got fed up watching
people with back ache ending up on traction for weeks getting depressed and ending up on tranquilisers.
I thought there must be a better way. I discovered Osteopathy and would tell friends to try it.
I must say here that I think that orthopaedic surgeons are marvellous and if you are in a road traffic accident or
have broken any bones they are undoubtedly the best people to look after you.
I also worked in St Christopher's Hospice founded by Cicely Saunders which was the beginning of the Hospice
Movement. It was a great privilege to work there in the pioneering days. Nowadays I work in the Cromwell Hospital in
London as a healer looking after the staff. As a healer I am also involved with a Stroke Group and a walk-in healing
centre in Chiswick.
I also practice NLP, Hypnotherapy and Time Line Therapy sometimes in conjunction with Meta Medicine. Meta Medicine
explained the connection between our emotions and disease. Nowadays we hear a lot about how stress causes disease.
But how does it do this and why does it affect people in different ways? What can we do to help ourselves? Using Meta
Medicine in conjunction with the therapies I practice can make a difference. It can put you in charge of your health and
by explaining what caused the problem in the first place take away the fear and allow you body to start to heal itself.
I also work in conjunction with all other health practitioners ie Doctors as will as other therapists.
My hobbies include reading. From fantasy to whodunits, various authors like Terry Pratchett to Jodi Picoult
and can recommend "My Sister's Keeper". If you want a laugh read "Queen Camilla" by Sue Townsend. I also enjoy getting
out into the country at the weekend and do a bit of walking. I live at home near Hampton Court with my husband,
we have two sons and two cats.
