There is much variety and many styles of Yoga, it has been practised for thousands of years, it is therapeutic and brings great benefit in the areas you need to consider for your specific health issues because it brings mind, body, and spirit together in a balanced way, relieving stress and improving physical health, a balanced equilibrium and calm awareness of spirit, anyone can choose the style of Yoga that is best for them, as a beginner it is best to search around until you find the best style and teacher for you, in my opinion the teacher is as important as the exercises. Although video teaching is useful, and helpful, being able to relate personally with a good teacher is best, you can practise Yoga anywhere at any time of day for short or longer periods, as a beginner it is best to start gradually. There are good website links answering all questions and giving information, also, with regard to Yoga and religion it is open to all. Before taking Yoga or any therapy, please first consult your doctor.
