Remember November as the days slip unwillingly
Into winters cold embrace,
Stroll the avenues of nature breathing in the last
Of autumn's grace,
Bracing winds blow scudding clouds away though
The sky is grey,
While heavy rainfall brings the earthy scent of
Fallen leaves decay,
Storms though troubled in their chaos a harsh
Winter they defy,
Give way to cold submission knowing, to live
First all must die,
Persephone raises her wan face in the dark of
Hades night,
And sings a song of faithful love to hasten
November's flight,
Build a fire to warm the heart take pleasure in
This month's gifts,
November reminds us of changing seasons on
Life's path our spirit uplifts.
