A WALK ALONG THE BEACH
The soft sand, stuff of creation, clings Between my toes, Minute particles old as time, ever change as the ocean flows, Each grain contains a universe a story within it's consistence. From rock to cliff it grinds to dust i n eternities persistence, Countless tiny jewels returned the stretching beach to grace. For miles I tread the shifting sand to find a golden place, The gently lapping waves do whisper in pervading sea scent air, "Look" all that is does breathe with life It's majesty to share, My eye does see strewn in profusion all along the shore, fragments of mother of pearl, and shells from the ocean floor, Crystal salt mingles with coral glistening in dawns rose splendour, My heart is full of natures love as a prayer of thanks I render, Dawn recedes with beauty and allows Sun's wondrous face, With gratitude I greet the day, I found the golden place.
