The knife of treachery wounds deep
No soothing balm, no peace in sleep,
Compassion blinded nought but pain,
Mind invaded, near insane,
Anger then consumes the heart
Contemptuous of those who played their part,
The memory clinging always there,
How cruel the act to cause despair,
Vengeance can't put pain to flight,
For no two wrongs are ever right,
The answer then is to choose,
To be a winner or to lose,
Why allow hurt to linger
While night and day hate points a finger,
The culprit then would be in glee,
For knowledge of the misery,
Nothing by evil thought is achieved,
Only by love and forgiveness is the
Agony relieved,
What ever their conscience does dictate
They also will choose to love or hate,
A perfect higher spirit will heal and
Be just,
Be at peace and forgive in this Divine
Truth put all trust.
