Track 1 - Avec Amour...I was sat in a local park watching children playing with their parents when i received this melody. A little girl had fallen off a swing and her older brother helped her up on to her feet with a hug....so sweet and caring and as the title suggests, filled with love
Track 2 - The Spirits Dance...This piece came to me when I was sat in front of a bonfire with my girlfriend on firework night. We were sat there enjoying the moment and talking about anything and everything when we looked in to each others eyes. It was only for a moment, but a moment that will last for eternity. The reflection of the flames were dancing about in our eyes and our souls connected at a level where words had no meaning. She said to me in a whisper, 'i've just seen the spirits dance'. It was almost emmidiately after that when I heard the music...
Track 3 - Cursillo...A track I wrote after visiting a spiritual place of rest where people meet up and try to understand God more along with themselves. I remember sitting in their beautiful garden late one night on my own when I felt a presence standing behind me. I couldn't see anyone but they were definately there. I know this will probably sound crazy, but the presence wanted me to write a piece of music dedicated to life and the love of life. It also showed me that God is life and life is love and love is God.
Track 4 - Tears of a Child...Tears Of A Child is about my relationship with god as I was growing up. I come from a large family of nine brothers and sisters, who I love dearly. We were poverty stricken and the house we lived in should have been condemned. It was damp, no inside doors, no running hot water, the glass in the windows was smashed letting in the rain along with the roof, no wallpaper anywhere just bare brick where the plaster had fallen off the walls, etc. We also had a very violent step-father who used to beat us for the most simple of things. He used to beat up on my mother who was a very caring woman who would give you absolutely anything she had - she was a a true gift from god. She died of cancer at the age of fifty, but she wanted to die and had told me this many times. She suffered so much and always tried to keep the family together...God i miss her so much sometimes. She taught me that life is about knowing yourself and helping others. It's about thanking god for every moment and to always look for god's beauty in the world and in other people at all times. This piece of music is about the love that god gave to me as a child and the tears and heartache that went with it.
Track 5 - Magic Garden...Magic Garden is about a spiritual place we can go to in our sleep to take rest from the secular world in which we live.
Track 6 - Only Love is Real...
Track 7 - A Summers Walk...It can be related to anyone or any couple taking a walk together and feeling the love they have for each other. Healing music for the broken hearted as i would call it. Everyone of us, at some point in time, has taken a walk with a loved one, whether it be a partner, brother/sister or son and/or daughter. It is when we cannot do this again, for whatever reason, that it becames painful to the heart as we yern to try and recapture what we think is lost. There is feeling and an understanding in this piece that allows the inner-self to realise that them moments are with us forever and cannot be taken away from us. We can re-live these moments at any time and take from them the beauty that was created at the time. It is only because we think or believe that they are never going to happen again that the pain starts. This music will help the subconscious mind to heal itself from that pain by realising that love is like life - constantly moving forward. It doesn't hide or incarcerate itself in the past, it grows and develops. It is us that hides ourselves away and therefore, we need to understand that to free ourselves from the pain we need to let go of the past by embracing it.
