What is it like to be a young carer,? myself and many others would realy like to know, not from second hand information given by other people but from the young carers themselves. We all know that for each child or young person in a caring situation the cicumstances vary maybe considerably. Thankfully we are not living in the Victorian era when children worked in the mines, or were sent to work as chimney sweeps, it is illegal in the UK to employ any child under a certain age and their hours are regulated, but just how many hours do young carers have to put in out of the goodness of their loving hearts, and what effect does this have on them, how can they fulfill their full potential without the help they need.

I would like some contributions from all young carers so the whole world knows how wonderful they are, and that those in authority continue to have the integrity and decency to do their best to make sure that these young carers lives are as equaly promising for their future as any other young persons is.
